Purpose:
As a member of the HR Team, the Human Resources Assistant will perform a variety of administrative and clerical support duties. This position provides HR support and guidance to all functional areas in California and Florida and manages special projects related to the HR and organizational initiatives assigned. This role is established to provide the broad exposure and experiences necessary to advance the HR Assistant in his/her career.
Essential Functions:
Will process incoming mail and disperse as needed
- Will handle and maintain all employee files, records, and reports
- Ensure information entered into Plansource is accurate
- Will order supplies for the Team
- Answer HR-related questions, including benefits questions, as well as help administer enrollments, training, and process terminations
- Assist with responding to questions from employees and managers/directors about company benefits, policies, and HR programs.
- Provide general support day-to-day to the HR Director as needed. Identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively
- Will handle the scheduling of meetings in the Executive Suite and travel arrangements
- Special projects include supporting the President that may include preparation for meetings, such as ordering food, retrieving printed materials from the printer, other business-related errands
- Must have transportation to perform business errands on behalf of the school
- Valid license and insurance; if this is a personal automobile
- Other duties as assigned
Non-Essential Functions:
- Update and maintain the organization chart
- May conduct research on department-related matters, as needed
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED, Bachelors' Degree preferred
Work Experience Required:
- 1 year of HR related experience or office support.

- Experience working with a payroll system such as UKG, ADP or Paycom, a plus

- Ability to learn and troubleshoot systems issues; partner with internal and external resources to resolve problems
- Able to enter data in accurately
- Able to identify information inaccuracies and correct or escalate to the Director
