Tour Guides serve as Ambassadors of The Los Angeles Film School and are the first point of contact for anyone wishing to tour the campus.  Tour Guides are responsible for connecting with students, families, and industry guests that are interested in visiting The Los Angeles Film School campus and wanting to learn more about our history, the facilities, curriculum and instructors. Tour Guides will be involved with outreach calling/texting campaigns towards identifying and confirming RSVPs for events and will receive inbound calls from interested future students that may have questions about Tours, Events or LAFS in general. Tour Guides will also serve at Ambassadors at both in-house and external events related to The Los Angeles Film School.  


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Those that must be performed with or without an ADA Accommodation)

  1. Behave as a Los Angeles Film School ambassador and embrace our unique educational model, while maintaining the highest level of integrity, professionalism, and customer service.
  2. Field and service prospective students, engage in compliant and customer-service oriented communications and tours.
  3. Provide high level overview of the educational programs, course curriculum, potential career outcomes (at a compliant level), alumni success and details related to the labs, classes and studio facilities to potential students, their parents, and other internal and external clients.
  4. When calling prospective students and guests, accurately update student records, dialer dispositions, and other vital pieces of the team workflow.
  5. Proactively interact with members of Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Advising, Career Development, Faculty and all Staff and Students.
  6. Participate in on-campus monthly registration, orientation events and other events.


Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Those that can be accommodated within an ADA Accommodation)

  • Adhere to company attendance standards

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Supervisory Responsibilities:




  • Conduct High Energy Tours and/or Virtual Presentations to large groups of people -Clearly conveying a defined message/script.

Education and/or Experience:

  1. Previous experience working within Higher Education; Admissions department or other student facing positions.
  2. Equivalent experience with Presentations, Conducting Tours, Customer Service, Organization Ambassador, professional within the Entertainment Industry.
  3. Bachelor's degree preferred, but will look at combination of education and experience


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:  



Computer Skills:

  1. Strong knowledge/understanding of Microsoft Office applications.
  2. Knowledge of databases and/or CRM systems
  3. Zoom and/or Microsoft Teams


Environmental Factors are those that are required and performed with or without accommodation.

Extensive time touring the expansive campus while being able to engage and host guests.

Extended time viewing a computer screen. Extended time typing and speaking to staff and students both in person or via telephone or video software.


Physical Demands are those that are required and performed with or without accommodation.

Employees must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week. Work is performed in an office environment and may include sitting or standing for extended periods of time. May be subject to bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping, and lifting to thirty (30) pounds.


Emotional and Mental Demands are those that are required and performed with or without accommodation.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have the ability to maintain active customer and employee communication; access, input and retrieve information from the computer system; enter alpha-numeric data into a computerized system often while listening on the telephone. Employees must be able to work a flexible schedule.
